Dried chicken collagen powder

Get in touch

Chicken is the most common animal protein source in pet food. There are a number of good reasons for the fact that chicken is the number 1 animal protein in pet food:

  • abundant available volume globally
  • Relatively easy specie with regard export health certification
  • No religious sensitivity
  • Excellent nutritional profile of the co-products
  • Relatively low carbon footprint of based animal proteins
  • Many global initiatives available with regard animal welfare (slow growing breeds, stocking density, outdoor access, etc.)

At IQI we focus on specialty and functional chicken products. This can vary from organic, free-range chicken, high protein chicken products, hydrolyzed chicken products, bio-functional chicken products (palatability, joint health, IgY, etc.), and techno functional chicken products (binding and gelling).

Dried chicken collagen powder

IQI is offering a broad range of dried chicken products to the petfood industry. All of our dried chicken products are produced without using head, feat or viscera. The processing of dried chicken is not done in a classical rendering way. In general more gentle (minimally processed) processing systems are being used:

  • Enzyme technology for fat separating
  • Spray drying or other low temperature drying systems
  • Human grade processing lines (not all products)

Typically, the ash levels in our dried chicken products are below 12% and all IQI dried chicken products are stabilized with natural anti-oxidants. Together with our supply partners we are able to tailor the product specification to the needs of our customers. Also with regard animal welfare we can offer certified dried chicken products.

EU certified
As confirmed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), all of IQI's imported animal proteins from Europe which comply with EU Regulation 1069/2009, once further processed into petfood in the U.S. are eligible for export from the U.S. to the EU.
